Telemarketers Will Receive Our Cell Phone Numbers!

Just a heads up...

A friend of ours was handed a notification at work (he's a real estate agent) concerning how in a few weeks telemarketers will be getting access to cell phone numbers. So our cells phones will be ringing and we will be getting charged for their phone calls which is irritating enough..but then I think of all the accidents caused already by people trying to answer their cell phones while on the road..now it will be ringing even more! Not to mention from someone pretty much none of us cares to talk to!

If your irritated by this news and would like to do something about it, the article said that you can call 888-382-1222 (hopefully I copied the number down correctly) or go here:

National Do Not Call Registry

and register your number. It's good for 5 years and if you do it on the website you can put in 3 numbers at a time.

Beach Wedding Pics!

Meet Jason and Terra Kelly
Married April 2005
on St. Kitts Island

Terra and her beautiful tropical boquet. I know I see antheriums in there, but can't make out what esle. Very striking though and so fun for a beach wedding!

Terra opted for a simple semi-casual wedding, she wanted the kids to be able to continue enjoy their outfits. She said the girls loved their tops and capris. My personal favorite is Terra's little brother's ensemble...khaki shorts with a long sleeved shirt and a tie..lookin' pretty sharp little brother! I think this is a perfect look for a young man of his age in a beachy wedding :)

Now..you can't tell very well in this picture..but the girl's tops had these cute little roses on one shoulder made out of the same material as the shirt. It just so happened she found these to match her dress as it aslo has a rose-like flower made out of it's own material on the front.

As you can see the jewelry Terra picked out can be worn for many occasions..from a wedding dress to a t-shirt..now THAT's versatile!

Cute shirts guys! lol!

Here is a close up on the set Terra picked out. Pink coral, pink freshwater pearls and pink lisway shells. Terra was excited to find out that when you turn the shells over, the swirl of the snail shell resembled the swirl of the fabric that created the flower on both her dress and the flower girls tops...so if you look closely at her wearing the jewelry, she opted to turn the shells around as well as be a little crafty herself and redo the earrings with some sterling posts I sent her, turning them around as well.

We also made her a matching bracelet with an extender she requested so it can be worn as an anklet if she wishes.

Mahalo for sharing these with us Terra!

return of the crud

So I've spent the last few days playing nurse-maid again. My son had a relapse..this time with a higher fever and a lot of throwing up :( Poor guy! I'm praying he gets better because my aunt got us tickets to see Cats for this Sunday! I can't beleive they actually came to Maui! We don't get anything thats big. she got us balcony seats right over the stage...so we should be able to see thier costumes really well! My mom is insisting that she will stay with my son if he is too sick, but she has tickets to go too and I wouldn't want to do that to her or my son. I would feel so bad to go without my son..he was looking so forward to it. So I would rather give the tickets to my sis so she and my 8 year old nephew could go. I would watch her baby for her...he's already been sick like my son..actually my son got it from her little guy..so no chance of sharing cooties.

But if we can't go I am gonna be sooo depressed! Believe me..the beach is very beautiful..but it does get old lol! It's so nice to have something new to do for once!

So everyone send 'healthy vibes' our way and I'll send you some Maui sunshine...deal? lol!

Bead Show on Maui

Today hubby and I took a drive out to Kihei to the Grand Wailea..a very beautiful hotel..fun to stay at but way too expensive! We went to a small bead show being held in one of thier meeting rooms. I"m always so excited when I get to go to this..we don't get the large bead fairs like Oahu does, but we are privileged to have the owners of Beadalicious come out to Maui once or twice a year. They offer some nice sales on their bead strands. They own a store on Oahu and one on Kauai...soon to be only Kauai from what one of the owners, Donna, told me today. They didn't have much of what I needed this time...but it was nice to see all the sparklies in person. I got some rhodolite garnet (a pink garnet), labradorite, pearls, bright green flourite and moonstone. Really not much...I'm most excited about the labradorite it's a nice flat square faceted cut.

Life's still a bit hectic around here, trying to catch up. Haven't been able to get in my office/beadroom to concentrate on any real work. And then we actually got 4 invites from different freinds today...two for today and two for next Saturday! I feel so loved! But all I really wanna do is bead! I look forward to weekends...I can usually bead nonstop and guilt free because it's my time and I don't need to fit it in inbetween homeschooling and doing the books for our window tinting business. but lately we have had a lot of company and then sicknesses..and now everyone seems to have missed us and wants us to come over for dinners and have BBQ's at the park lol! We just got back tonight from dinner at a friends. I realize it IS good to crawl out of my cave once in a while and associate with people...but I miss my cave when I'm away so much...it's a very pretty cave... it sparkles with gemstone beads :)

So I'm hoping to be able to get some things done tomorrow morning into early afternoon...IF I get myself to bed.. it's after midnight already! I have a feeling I"ll be snoring my precious morning hours away rather then up working like I should be!

My disappearing act

Well, the crud managed to make it's way throughout our household...whatever sickness is going around doesn't usually get me so bad and it never gets my husband..but we all got it this time. It started with the kid..he got it the worst..then hubby and I got it at the same exact time. It was funny cuz we had these fevers that just really knocked us for a loop and one morning when we were actually able to get out of bed we were sitting at the dinning room table talking and our son comes in and starts laughing and saying his parents looked stoned. We felt stoned! It was the dizziest sickness I've ever had.

Last weekend was my cousins 10th anniversary party, and I had volunteered to put the dancing music together..I did it all while I was sick, so I was half afraid I'd put doubles of songs on there..but it all turned out okay and we all had a blast. I really hate to excersize and get winded so quickly when I do..but turn on some dance music and I can go for hours. Even though I still was a little weak from being sick, it felt really good to get up and move because I sit in this office chair way too much beading and working on my websites.

That was Saturday, so Monday I watched my sisters kids for her while she had some important errands to run and things pertaining to their house that are too hard to do with her little 22 month old, Koa. He is a handful and it's so hard for her to get anything done..but he is very intelligent and so funny...probably why he is such a handful! I cleaned my house on Sunday because I had company from the mainland coming Monday afternoon...good thing it was someone I grew up with and wasn't embarrassed around because my house was totally destroyed from Koa by the time they got here. They got a welcoming hug at the door and then literally had to step over the coffee table to get into my house and dodge toys. I used to be able to keep my house semi decent when my son was little (he's 13 now) but I'm really out of practice with a little one around now. And of course I spoil the little guy rotten while he's with me, so there is no letting him cry while I clean...he rules the house and my time..and then is a spoiled brat by the time my sis gets him back :\ Sorry sis! lol! It was a really fun visit though..only a couple of days since they have a condo in Lahaina they will be staying in. But they were super tired from the trip and I think Kirsten was getting sick..so we just vegged and caught up on old times. Kirsten likes to bead too, so that was an added plus for me :)

So jewelry-wise...where are we? I've got a couple of new items uploaded as of yesterday.

I've got a new necklace and some more bracelets sitting here ready to have thier pictures taken..but I'm super behind on everything so it's slow going. My sis and I will be doing the next Ben Franklin Craft Fair on May 1st held at the Maui War Memorial Gym. So we have got to get ourselves in gear and pump out some new pieces for that.

I just received some more pictures yesterday from another bridal customer with her okay to post them.. so I am hoping to get those up real soon.

Thats it for now...
