I've been gone for 3 days and have not had time to catch up since..so today I'm just sharing a close-up pic of the plumerias I use in many of my jewelry pictures. I have a tree in the middle of my front yard and we just planted one in the backyard in a pot. With Plumeria trees you can just cut off a stalk of it and stick it in the dirt!
Wow! they're just lovely. I wish I live where u are. I grew up in an island too & it just makes me wanna go back! (",) btw, i love ur creations! I'm hoping to get into the jewelry-making business too. I hope you don't mind me asking, I saw u have a site with Ruby lane. Is it better than etsy?- thanks a bunch!!!
Zen Ventures...No I don't mind at all! In fact I help moderate a group that is all about sharing and helping new ones to learn how to make jewelry. I'll see if I can find you over on your blog and connect with our reg emails instead of through the comments on blogger.
Aloha! Welcome to my blog :) I'm a very busy devoted wife and mother, home-school mom, bookkeeper for the family business and a pretty awesome auntie ;-) I am quiet but very friendly :) I find therapy in beading and other types of artistic endeavors and am forever wishing I had more time to try new crafty things. My family and I have been on Maui since 1992 and although we do miss friends and family back on the mainland, we will never leave our beautiful island home. Please make yourself at home here...look around and leave comments...tell me what you think :)

These are beautiful! I never imagined they would be on a stalk like that. Now I want to see the whole plant. Tina
Too bad you can't post the smell. I was in Hawaii once many years ago, won the trip on Wheel of Fortune. The scents of the flowers was amazing.
You won it on Wheel of Fortune!? Thats so cool!
Some of the plumerias smell remind me of juicy fruit gum :)
