A little bit of a stand off, eh?
We are visiting Maui next month and can't wait that long. My sister has been living out there since last November.
Lucky you had your camera handy. We used to see pheasants in our yard.
I wish I had one handy when our neighbors cat was sitting directly under our dish bird feeder looking straight up under it where a squirrel was eating.
Wow...you had your camera at the right time!
Cute WW! :)
My WW entries are here and here.
perfect timing... that is why I carry my camera with me all the time.

I don't even want to know what happened after this shot.
I hope the bird wasn't dinner for the cat! Great picture!
No worries everyone..the bird was fine. My kitty is a lover not a fighter...well he might catch and eat a daddy long leg once in a while lol!
The bird heard me coming closer to hopefully get a better shot this this one and flew off...safe and sound.
That's good to know the bird got away! Must have been one frustrated kittie!
