My yearly disappearing act..

Every year around this time I disappear from my blog for a bit. It's tax time and I'm busy pulling all my info together for both my jewelry biz and my hubby's auto customizing biz. And every year I explain how I spent too much time playing with my wonderful beads and not enough time keeping track of receipts and stuff so when tax season comes I'm up a creek!

Well this year is no different only in that it's probably even worse because Cameron got sick in April and we've been dealing with that all year. My mind was even less in the mood to do any serious bookkeeping.

So here I sit a slave to quickbooks and in waist high pile of receipts. Hopefully I will make it out alive and see you all on the other side!

Good luck! I find myself disappearing from my blog more and more lately. I don't know what the problem is. Maybe Facebook has been taking up more of my time.

Hang in there! I started on our taxes over the weekend. I'm going to try to do 15 minutes a day until done. Otherwise I don't think I can face it. I have etsy and most of the medical done....now it's just the rest of it! I need to know if we are getting $$ back, so I know if I can be excited that we are going on vacation this summer. No refund...no vacation! I will be so bummed. Want to go see Matt in Telluride.

Good luck!

I'm sorry you have to disappear into the black hole of taxes! As I write this, I have a thick file in my lap, and I'm searching for a missing tax document. Luckily, it's the last thing I need to find for this season. Good luck to you, we'll miss your updates but looking forward to seeing you back as soon as possible!

I guess the bright side is, if you had no sales you'd not have to worry about taxes. See you around mid-April!

I thought I was going to do them last weekend but when I started, I found I needed some more forms. Good reason to put it all off! But now I have the forms so I really need to get started on it. First year with the jewelry business, plus the paralegal work. I've always done my own taxes but this year it seems almost impossibly confusing! Good luck to you.

Ooh..I wish I only had to put aside one weekend. I've got such a mess of receipts to wade through for two businesses. Esp the one that actually supports us. It's a monster that swallows me up for at least a month!
