Important info on my website URL

For about a week my domain name forwarding will be down while it transfers to GoDaddy. So you will not be able to get through to my website with http://www.jonarablumaui.com instead you will need to use the actual address which is: http://www.rubylane.com/shops/jonarablu It should be working normally again in about a week.

To say I'm frustrated is an understatement :( I received some horrible customer service with Yahoo small business section this morning. I was needing to use my domain name service through GoDaddy instead of Yahoo this year since Yahoo pricing shot up from 9.95 a year last year to 34.95. I scheduled a service rep call (they do not provide a number you have to fill a form and get a call back) so that I did not make any mistakes. I told him what I needed to do and why. The rep seemed friendly and helpful only he left out a LOT Of very important information and to make a long story short he left me between a rock and a hard place with no way to get a hold of Yahoo again for help since my account had been 'canceled'. They would not schedule a call nor would they allow an email to them. GoDaddy's hands were tied and the only way to get a hold of Yahoo again would be to sign up and pay for another domain!

I ended up figuring something out to make the wait be only a week instead of 45 to 60 days ..however that still means that the website on all of my business cards, invoices and links all over the web will not be working.

I'm super sorry for the inconvenience to anyone who tried to get a hold of me..I'm still here!!! you can always email me at: jonarablumaui@hawaii.rr.com

Kelly Reins @ She's That Girl

It was my privilege to meet Kelly Reins a few weeks ago through ArtFire...she emailed me asking about my wire wrapped rings made in her size. When I took a look at her own shop all I could do was smile. What fun she creates with beads and charms and believe it or not..domino pieces! I had to have one of her Domino pendants. So I offered a trade for the ring in which Kelly was very willing. Now I'm the happy owner of this sweet little Japanese Kimono Doll necklace:

Here are some other creations of hers that caught my eye:

from her steampunk collection

She's obviously got a thing for mermaids...who can blame her...they are so cool:

If you'd like to see more you can find Kelly's whimsical pieces here:

Majorly Marked Down Clearance Jewelry Listed on Ebay!!

I have just a few pieces left because most sold at my yard sale...but I've put up on Ebay some jewelry I've marked way down for clearance. These are pieces that have been here for quite some time and just not have found the right 'mommy' to adopt them. They are great pieces but usually have a bit of oxidation on the silver.

All pieces are made w/ sterling or 14k gold fill metals. Some even have the higher silver content Hill Tribe silver in them. They are also made w/ semi precious gems and freshwater pearls. There is no catch, I just need to move these out so that I can make room for new pieces.

Auctions start as low as 99 cents!

My Hawaiian Goats!

Actually they aren't mine..they live on the property we rent on. It's so much fun to spend time w/ them. I've been going out in the morning when I can and just hang out w/ them for a half an hour or so. Feels better to start my day that way rather then at the computer.

Some of them are nanny's from what I'm told and some Hawaiian Mountain Goats I'm wondering if they mix species..cuz there is one daddy stud and lots of mommas w/ babies. I think we have a hodge podge little group here. I love them though..they are so much fun. The babies are a kick..esp when they try to rear up and butt eachothers heads.

And then there is MO-mo ...one of the goats brought in by a vet who now owns them. He's so friendly and a bit cripple w/ a crooked leg that was eaten by a dog. He runs around on the hillside just like the rest. The other day I was kinda hop-running down the hillside and I guess he thought I was playing so he started rearing up (not at me) and prancing and boinging sideways along side of me. It was the funniest thing..and it felt really cool to be accepted that much into his world lol!

More Maui Jewelry Coming soon!

This Tuesday is 10 cent Tuesday for us sellers at RubyLane. It's only 10c to upload a new item for sale rather then the usual 30c ...5c for charter shops. I've got a number of new pieces I've started already adding an more still to add so I think I am going to use until then to make some more and then get as much up on Tuesday as I can. (Hopefully life doesn't call my attention to elsewhere that day) I believe I am a charter shop so 5c an item is pretty cool. I'll take whatever savings I can get in this economy!
