New Baby Boy on the Way!

My brother and sister in law are expecting again...it's a little boy and his name will be Hanalei Hayden (yes..after the mango!) We can't wait for him to arrive and join our little indian troop of boys in the family. All the cousins just love each other so much.

My sister Kimberlee of Aihara Visuals took some beautiful photos of the family. You can check them out here

however here are some more of my favorites :D

Pretty photos! Congratulations! :)

Yes, we do have wild turtles here. The most common are painted turtles and, I guess, snapping turtles! We've had painted turtles in our yard. The last one we found was not friendly at all and kept hissing at us. I didn't know turtles could hiss! I think our recent friend was a common snapping turtle. They can get to be pretty big and they do have a long tail.

We went to an apple orchard a few years ago and had banana apples. They were so good. We should go back. I'd never heard of banana apples. I'll think of you eating your apple bananas! :)

I forgot to answer your other questions... we live in northeastern Illinois, about 45 minutes from Chicago. We're also pretty close to the Wisconsin border. It takes us about an hour to drive to Milwaukee. Our county has preserved a lot of forest and wetlands, so it's very pretty around here. Unfortunately, they also keep building and building, so who knows how long it will stay that way.

In response to your ? on my blog. Bam Bam is a cat. We aren't sure why he's losing his fur and turning pink, she suspects allergies. Perhaps he's just trying to get attention?
Your photos as always are maginificent. Congrats on the new family member.
